New Music Friday: Tinie Tempah, KIIARA & More

Friday’s are incredibly exciting here at the Warner Music South Africa office. New Music Fridays is a day when all new releases hit digital and physical stores around the world. Every week, we will showcase some of our exciting releases right here on our website as we help you get your weekend playlist sorted. These are what new releases you should check out this week:

The Fast & Furious 8 OST

As soon as we watched the credits role on the Fast & Furious 7, we’ve been patiently waiting for the next instalment in the franchise. Today, not only does the film open in cinemas nationwide, but we also release the film’s epic soundtrack. Featuring the lead single ‘Good Life’ by Kehlani and G-Eazy as well as tracks by Lil Uzi Vert, Pitbull, Migos, PnB Rock, Yung Thug, Wiz Khalifa, Camila Cabello and many more, you know this soundtrack is going to be fire.

Tinie Tempah – Youth

After releasing the massive hits ‘Not Letting Go’ with Jess Glynne, ‘Girls Like’ with Zara Larsson and ‘Text From Your Ex’ featuring Tinashe, Tinie Tempah drops his highly-anticipated third studio album ‘YOUTH’ today. “I think it’s my best album,” an excited Tinie said about the record. The album features exciting collaborations from Nea, Wizkid, Kid Ink, Guy Sebastian and many more. This is an album you have to add to your playlist this weekend.

KIIARA – Whippin (Feat. Felix Snow)

After collaborating with Linkin Park on their massive comeback single ‘Heavy’, KIIARA has returned with a new taste of her upcoming album. The singer teamed up with Felix Snow for the pop track ‘Whippin’ and after receiving its world premiere on Zane Lowe’s ‘Beats One’ the track was met with rave reviews. This is only a taste of what’s to come from the star and we can’t wait for you to hear more.

Little Dragon – Season High

Our favourite Swedish dance group, Little Dragon, return with their exciting fifth studio album ‘Season High’ today. After dropping their new smash hit ‘High’ – which was praised for its old-school approach – the group have delivered another fantastic piece of work. “This is an album that delivers both mood and melody,” NME said in a glowing review. This artistic take on electronic pop music is bound to give you chills.

Amadou & Mariam – Bofou Safou

Grammy-nominated Amadou & Miriam haven’t released music since 2012 but today, they make their highly-anticipated comeback as they drop their new single ‘Bofou Safou’. The song is an upbeat bass-driven song which sees the group blend their unique African sound with the popular European influences and the result is incredible. Grab a copy of this track today.
