Friday’s are incredibly exciting here at the Warner Music South Africa office. New Music Fridays is a day when all new releases hit digital and physical stores around the world. Every week, we will showcase some of our exciting releases right here on our website as we help you get your weekend playlist sorted. These are what new releases you should check out this week:
Ed Sheeran – ÷
The British crooner is back with his highly-anticipated new album ‘÷’. The album features the smash hit singles ‘Castle On The Hill’ and ‘Shape Of You’ and shot to the top of iTunes charts around the world. Ed raises the bar with what is arguably his best album to date. Filled with emotion, ‘÷’ sees Ed Sheeran at his very best. Much like the first two records, Ed stays true to the guitar-driven pop tracks we’ve become accustomed to, however, he pushes himself creatively more than ever before. We missed you, Ed.
The Magnetic Fields – 50 Song Memoir
The American indie pop group is back with their 11th studio album this week. This time, the group deliver an incredibly personal album. What’s incredibly special about this record is that it features 50 songs, one for every year Stephin Merritt has lived. It’s an incredibly special and unique album and one fans will enjoy. Not only is their new material fantastic, but it allows fans a deeper look into who the band really is.
Klyne – Water Flow
Klyne are a ance/electronic group from The Netherlands and after dropping their incredibly successful single ‘Water Flow’ last year, the group today release their new EP of the same name. The EP showcases the group’s incredible talent. If you haven’t heard of the group just yet, we highly suggest you get a copy of the EP today.
