On the heels of the release of CHAMPIONSHIPS, Meek recently announced his highly anticipated return to the road with his upcoming headline U.S. tour titled “The Motivation Tour.” Produced by Live Nation, the 16-city U.S. tour will kick off February 19 in Miami, FL and make stops in L.A., Chicago, New York, his hometown of Philadelphia and more, before wrapping March 24 in Atlanta, GA. Tickets are on sale to the general public beginning today at 10am local time at www.LiveNation.com. For a complete list of tour dates, please visit www.meekmill.com.
Last week, Meek previewed CHAMPIONSHIPS with the release of “Uptown Vibes (feat. Fabolous & Anuel AA)” and “Oodles O’ Noodles Babies,” which he debuted with a performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, backed by fellow Philadelphians, The Roots. Pitchfork called the song a ‘…poetic, haunting look at Mill’s tough beginning and road to success.’ Adding to this excitement, the 31-year old rapper celebrated the gold-certification of “Dangerous (feat. Jeremih & PnB Rock),” featured on his LEGENDS OF THE SUMMER EP, which was released in July and featured the hometown anthem “Millidelphia,” as well as the powerful statement record “Stay Woke (feat. Miguel).”
Earlier this week, Meek stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show for a sit down interview about his work in criminal justice reform, watching her show while he was in jail and much more. This followed the release of his powerful self-penned New York Times op-ed, which focused on the continued need to bring awareness to the flaws & biases in our criminal justice system, as well as New York Magazine’s intimate profile on Meek including the making of his new album, his time while in prison and his new role as the face of criminal justice reform. Up next, Mill will appear on CNN’s “Smerconish,” airing this Saturday, December 1 (check local listings for airtimes), followed by delivering the keynote speech on justice reform at Business Insider’s IGNITION conference on December 4.
This weekend, Meek – who is featured on the cover of the current issue of XXL – will be joining TIDAL’s Director of Culture & Content Elliott Wilson on December 2 for the CRWN interview series in New York City, where they will discuss the making of CHAMPIONSHIPS, criminal justice reform and more. Fans across the globe will be able to get more information and tune into the livestream on http://www.TIDAL.com/MeekMill. Media will be able to embed the interview using the code here: http://tdl.sh/CRWNMeek.
As if all that weren’t enough, Mill will star in the upcoming motion picture, 12 O’clock Boys, currently in production from Sony and Overbrook Entertainment. In addition, Meek has teamed with Amazon Prime Video and Jay Z’s Roc Nation for a six-part documentary series that will follow his own fight for exoneration while exposing flaws in the criminal justice system. The as-yet-untitled docuseries – which will feature an unprecedented look at Meek’s life, career, and criminal justice odyssey – premieres next year, exclusively via Prime Video.
The Philadelphia native’s “Dreams & Nightmares,” the platinum certified title track from his gold-certified album, still proves to be a timeless classic, without a doubt becoming “Philly’s ultimate underdog anthem,” according to Billboard, while simultaneously becoming one of the “greatest Philly sports anthems ever” as stated by NBC Sports after the Philadelphia Eagles came out to the song before their 2018 Super Bowl win.
CHAMPIONSHIPS is the full-length follow up to the RIAA gold-certified WINS & LOSSES, highlighted by the hit singles, “Whatever You Need (Feat. Chris Brown & Ty Dolla $ign)” and “Glow Up.” WINS & LOSSES also accrued critical applause to match its popular success, with Pitchfork raving, “(The LP) juxtaposes rap dreams and hood realities, but draws more deliberate distinctions. The album is a comeback by any measure, honest and gripping.”

About Meek Mill:
North Philadelphia’s Robert Rihmeek Williams, better known as Meek Mill, is no stranger to adversity and triumph. Hailed by Rolling Stone as “one of rap’s few voices for the everyman,” He is without question one of the most electrifying hip-hop talents in recent memory. Meek Mill first garnered attention and made waves by chronicling his hard-knock life on a series of stunning mixtapes before releasing his debut album, DREAMS & NIGHTMARES, in October 2012. The project instantly catapulted him into rap superstardom, thanks to his ability to create both high-energy street anthems and soul-bearing, emotionally relatable stories of overcoming struggle and adversity. That same year, Mill announced the launch of his own label imprint, Dream Chasers, named after his mixtape series. In addition to serving as the CEO of Dream Chasers, Mill is also an advocate for criminal justice reform in the United States with a focus on creating stronger prison rehabilitation programs, improving the bail system, shortening probationary periods.
He followed up his debut album with his now platinum-certified sophomore album DREAMS WORTH MORE THAN MONEY in 2015, which topped Billboard’s “Top 200 Albums,” “Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums” and “Top Rap Albums charts” for two consecutive weeks. He released WINS & LOSSES in 2017, which he followed up with his most recent release LEGENDS OF THE SUMMER. The 4-song project was heralded by “Stay Woke (feat. Miguel),” a powerful statement record chronicling his own experiences battling the injustices of the legal system.
