CRYSTAL FIGHTERS are back in the spotlight with their latest track ‘Wild Ones’. It’s been played by Jack Saunders at Radio 1 for three consecutive weeks and has hit a variety of landmark playlists including Spotify’s New Music Friday, Apple Music’s Best of the Week and Deezer’s Brand New UK. Now the track receives a fresh boost of life as the band drops its official video.

Always eager to share dazzling surrealist visuals, CRYSTAL FIGHTERS once again share a singular vision with ‘Wild Ones’. As a searing sun sets, a mysterious figure rises beyond the earth’s atmosphere to embark upon a playful voyage of discovery that encompasses alien encounters, unknown landscapes and joyous dance moves. The figure evolves from man to woman to baby, before the sun rises on a brand-new day.

The video represents CRYSTAL FIGHTERS’ third collaboration with the O Creative Studio, the team behind visuals for Solange, A$AP Rocky and Miguel. It was directed by the Spanish filmmaker Stanley Sunday, who previously helmed the hallucinatory vision for ‘Goin Harder’ and was conceived with Rosalía director Mau Morgó.

‘Wild Ones’ features on CRYSTAL FIGHTERS’ new record ‘Gaia & Friends’, a “snapshot of time and a chapter of music” created across continents, with a crew of collaborators and with a clear message at its heart. It’s a reflection of their outlook on the world and existence – ‘Gaia’ representing Mother Earth and ‘Friends’ her diverse inhabitants. Humanity, animals and plant-life co-exist in the moment, with the planet representing a gigantic party for life in all of its many forms. The songs naturally touch upon themes of togetherness, inclusivity, conservation and connectivity, all united by the realisation that we need to respect the world that we live in.
