Ashley ‘Ash’ Beyers was born in 1990 in Durban, South Africa and showed an early interest in all aspects of performance.
At a mere one-and-a-half years old Ash’s grandmother would take him to downtown Durban where he could be seen hitting the dance floor of his local community centre dancing along to Michael Jackson hits.
Sixteen years later Ash won his first professional competitive dancing competition, Dance to Las Vegas, and was then invited to perform with American rapper ‘Ludacris’ on the South African leg of his tour.
The next four years saw Ash collect a plethora of awards in both national and international dance competitions culminating in his position as one of the finalists in the 2011 season of ‘So You Think You Can Dance?’
From there Ash landed regular Televised work on MTV Base and Yo-TV as well as continuing his streak of wins in domestic and international dance competitions.
Impressed by his dancing talent and ability to also sing and rap Ash was hired by Showtime Australia to be a part of their world touring production ‘HIStory II – The Michael Jackson Show’, performing in over 30 countries worldwide. Ash is also actively involved in two other shows performing, training up new dancers and choreographing.
In 2014/15 Ash has more world tours lined up as well as showcasing his additional talents by releasing his first rap single onto the international market.
